The Conference, of interest to all the experts and institutions working on the promotion of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, will highlight how, in spite of UNCRPD inclusive strategies focused on empowering people with disabilities, Deafblind still struggle to define themself as “subjects” with rights, who are capable of claiming those rights and making decisions for their lives based on their free and informed consent as well as being active members of society the European Union.

The event offer an opportunity to learn from the top and distinguished leaders of the European Deafblind community, to exchange knowledge, share experiences about the Convention entering into force on local, national, and international fields, and network with our peers.
