3rd Conference of the EDbU in the European Parliament

On the 5th of June, the EDbU had the opportunity to hold its 3rd Conference in the European Parliament.

Under the motto “alone we can do so little, together we can do so much”, this conference took place with the main objective of proclaiming the Emergency Resolution on Equal Opportunities of Persons with Deafblindness in Europe.

This occasion was a big step in our ongoing fight to achieve equality and inclusion in society all over Europe. A great number of Deafblind people came to this event to share their needs and concerns with the Members of the European Parliament present and to make them aware of how important it is to have professional interpreters for deafblind people.

We would like to thank all Members of the European Parliament that attended our 3rd conference: Ms Helga Stevens, Mr Ivica Tolic, Mr Adam Kósa, Ms Dubravka Suica. All of them showed their support of our work and people with deafblindness, and we hope that this will motivate all the other European governments to provide us with the resources we need.
