The European Deafblind Union is saddened by the loss of Mr Seppo Olavi Jurvanen, Vice president of the EDbU and the memorable president of the Finnish Deafblind Association.
After years of waiting Croatian Sign Language has finally been recognised on July 10th 2015. The Croatian Parliament unanimously approved the final proposal of the Law on the Croatian Sign Language and Other Communication Systems of Deaf and Deafblind Persons which recognised CSL as the language of the linguistic-cultural minority group of the Deaf and Deafblind in Croatia.
